Hey there,
How much older was he? Because age is really not a very big deal, unless of course it’s a ridiculous difference. So if it’s only a year or 2, I wouldn’t worry too much about that :)
But anyways, were you guys just friends? I don’t really know what you mean when you say that he left, did you guys just stop hanging out? And it doesn’t sound stupid at all!
You are not pathetic for liking someone, especially if you think he might like you back! But honestly, I do think that maybe you should try to talk to him, maybe not about that right now, since like you said you don’t know for sure that he likes you back, but you think there’s a possibility. So I think that you should just start talking to him, try to hang out more, and eventually start being more flirty towards him and try to pay attention to how he reacts. If he responds well to it, definitely keep going!
And don’t feel bad about talking to your friends about anything, if they truly are your friends they will respect you and listen to what’s going on in your life, that’s why they’re there! :) But, if you aren’t comfortable, I’m always here!
To sum up, just don’t give up if you think this boy would be worth your time, and especially if you think that there might be a connection. Just try to be brave and give it a shot. Don’t be afraid to take risks, it could all be worth it in the end :)
I really hope I helped, if I messed up or didn’t understand what you were asking please let me know and I’ll fix it! :)
Good luck!
Love, Juliet <3
